Our commitments

• Comply with applicable HSE law, customer requirements and agreed project controls.
• Identify hazards and environmental aspects before work begins and apply the hierarchy of controls.
• Prevent injury, occupational illness, pollution and avoidable environmental harm.
• Consult workers and partners and give everyone authority to stop unsafe work.
• Set practical objectives, monitor performance and continually improve.

Risk planning

HSE requirements are considered during supplier selection, design review, work planning, logistics and project mobilisation. Risk assessments and method statements must be proportionate to the activity and updated when conditions change.

High-risk work

• Lifting and rigging, transport and load restraint.
• Hot work, welding, cutting and surface treatment.
• Work at height, confined space and electrical isolation.
• Operation of machinery, pressure systems and mobile equipment.
• Handling of fuels, coatings, chemicals and hazardous materials.

People and competence

Personnel must be fit, trained, authorised and supervised for their work. Required protective equipment must be suitable and maintained. Language, literacy, fatigue, working hours and local conditions must be considered in planning.

Contractors and suppliers

Partners are selected and monitored using a risk-based approach. They must communicate site rules, manage subcontractors, report changes and demonstrate the controls necessary for their scope.

Environment and resource use

• Prevent spills and uncontrolled emissions or discharge.
• Segregate and manage waste through authorised routes.
• Use materials, energy, water and packaging efficiently.
• Consider lower-impact design, local supply and consolidated logistics where practical.

Emergency and incident management

Relevant emergency arrangements must be established, communicated and tested. Incidents, near misses and environmental events must be reported promptly, investigated proportionately and followed by effective corrective action and shared learning.

Assurance and review

Granden will review HSE performance through project meetings, supplier evidence, inspections, incident trends and corrective actions. Leadership reviews this policy periodically and when the business, risk profile or law materially changes.
